an outrageous dive by NIR, the irish commentator somehow refuses to even mention it!

Perhaps
Though if they keep the score down here, lose to Germany but beat Ukraine, they have a strong chance of going through as one of the best 3rd place finishers with 3 points and an okay GD
I would throw caution to the wind and try for the 1-1 here, you don't want to be losing your first game.

Northern Irish player clearly dives........and the BBC say the Polish player caught him. Why not just tell the truth ?

First they say it was the Polish player made a dangerous tackle, then they completely silent when the replay was shown. Didn't even acknowledge that the NIR player dived, laughable.

It's a nice idea, but it has a flaw - to win a game you have to be able to score at least one goal. I wouldn't be at all surprised if NI fail to score any goals in this tournament.

I really think they should start punishing players for grabbing the ball before the ref blows for a free kick.

Tahtd be putting all their eggs in one basket. Altho might not even get to Ukraine game with a decent goal difference if they play against Germany with 11 in thier own half.

The more i watch it the more puzzling a start it was. The defenders and holding midlfielders are good enough quality to play a flat back four, two holding mids and everyone else having a licence to attack.

Get Will Griggs on. Then we can all have a sing song

I don't agree with that yellow card, clearly got the ball first.

Don't understand why Szczesny couldn't have claimed that corner rather than punched it.

same here, it was a good challenge and not from behind as the boas commentator stated.

NI seem a poor team

Maybe he just felt like punching something out of boredom.

Yeah, they've been getting sloppier since the goal too.

Yay, we've just had the patronising "he was a postman" quote from commentator. Guess which NI player thy choose to be the obligatory man who drove the team bus to the ground (before he belatedly became a full-time pro)

I think they could grab something you know.

We saw last night that 1-0 is a dicey scoreline. 67% possession and a hatful of chances counts for nothing if your opponent equalises.

NI are poor and Poland are certainly no world beaters. Good match to put on for a Sunday afternoon/early evening.

Another wild shot from a Pole.

This has been the tournament of teams failing to convert their dominance into goals so far.

Didn't realise the Northern Irish ceasefire had been extended to the football team...

Yep. At least its almost watchable, as opposed to first half. NI should get one decent chance before the end. But the the only way this can improve for me is bringing on the sub striker and hearing half a stadium singing "Will Griggs on fire......"

Didn't catch the name of the pundit on BBC but he has taken bias to a whole new level - he has been utterly absurd throughout, each of his insightful additions to the commentary has been so one eyed as to be completely laughable .... and insultingly inaccurate.

Gerry Amstrong - think he used to manage them? He's not insightful at all he just randomly lauds certain NI players

Was the commentary as bias last night for England? It seems to be hyperbolic for this match,
