He's summed it up in one diary room visit.

Well done him.

Hes ABSOLUTELY RIGHT Everybody just talking about superificial things and how many people they've sh@gged. I think its because of the lack of older people in the main house its mainly younger HMs, which I think Big Brother intended on purpose.

Yep. I feel sorry for him.

It definitely rang true. But there was a strange melancholy to it, made me feel wistfully sad somehow.

Andy reminds me of the delightful Chris R Wright. Hope he finds someone to interact with so he stays. Looking forward to some wonderfully insightful diary room convos (as per Chris R Wright.)

One of the most normal HM's ever and one of the truest DR entries ever?

Definitely. The folk calling him 'boring' need a reality check.
Not everyone in the world can be as mental as Marco, sadly.

Andy complaining about the quality of housemates is like a vegan going to a meat market and complaining about the selling of meat.

What. Did. He. Expect?

It's just sunk in for him that that 5 min conversation about WW2 is going to be the intellectual highlight of his stay.

Agree totally, I'm going to message Chris and ask him to do a week two roundup, he's already posted his views on this series so far.

I love Andy. That diary room entry brought him up in my estimations. He's a normal, intelligent and nice guy who isn't boring either. Hope he stays long

BB should have put someone else in there on his wavelength. It's a shame.

I liked his rant. I think I would feel exactly the same in there with that bunch.

Andy was a BBC journalist here in Belfast, he was very popular and obviously is intelligent & articulate. I wish he had gone into Celebrity BB as he has nothing in common with any of these contestants and summed them up perfectly.

They need more Andys in BB, with a few eccentrics, rather than the other way round. The public will always love to see normal people, doing extraordinary things. Watching a house full of people who aren't relatable might give spikes in the ratings and create social trending, but that isn't what appeals in the long run.

I could see him getting along with Andrew - maybe not a friendship as such but at least a decentish conversation now and again.

I think there are quite a few 'normals' in there with him, Georgina, Jason, Hughie, Alex and Jayne. They are everyday people to me.

I'd say Evelyn is pretty normal too. Shame she had got minimal airtime.

Spoke with Chris from previous BB, he said although he loved his housemates he would have liked Andy in with him.

True. A possibility.

So what deep and profound discussions has he tried to have? Why should he expect the other HMs to always be the ones to start one. The HMs can't express opinions because the HMs and voters will take it out on them.

We don't know as he's only been featured once in the Diary Room.

And he didn't(ie couldn't) give an example of a topic he tried to discuss.

Not only did he sum up the series, but I think he also summed up the sad reality of the younger generation in today's world, which is depressing.

I really like him, he comes across as a genuinely decent guy. I too agree that he could get on well with Andrew once this pathetic twist crap is over.
