He reminds me of one of those child stars who end up doing drugs (which he has fully admitted to doing) and not living very long

He's like a young Russell Brand (without the intellect). I think he's seriously messed up, but he seems to get on with the other HMs which tells me he's probably a nice guy underneath. But like I said, A LOT of issues.

Russell Brand doesn't have that much intellect either. He's got an expansive vocabulary, but that's about it.

At least they have worked. that is mostly the issue with them kids. They had to work and never had a childhood. Marco lives off his father hard work. And sadly his Dad lets him. Richard Branson who has lot more money then Marco dad one of his kids is a doctor and the other i think is stock broker.

I sort of like him and sort of hate him at the same time. He does seem entitled and spoilt, and his hardman act when the new housemates in was just stupid. At the same time, he doesn't seem like a nasty guy at all and his hardman act was only out of fierce loyalty to the people he had bonded with already. I would say that at heart he's a good guy, but he's very immature. I do think he could do with a good dose of reality, as it seems like he is a pure hedonist.

Well if he carries on with the drugs and his love of being strangled I fear he isn't long for this world.

I don't know about that. He wrote a letter about drug addiction just after Amy Winehouse died that was quite simply brilliant. Brand irritates the hell out of me at times, but I do think he's intelligent.

RE Marco; he's repulsive in lots of ways, but he also seems fairly damaged and in need of guidance, help, advice...... something.

ChipPaper summed him up perfectly with this post in another thread:

The kind of bloke that gets found in a cheap hotel, drugged up and with a pair of tights tying his neck to the bed frame.

If someone doesn't help him soon, he's not even going to see 25

He's repulsive in some ways especially the excessive spending and shoe comment, but I think his heart is in the right place. I think he would be upset by a negative crowd reaction, more than he would like to admit.

Also I forget how young he is.

.
Did you see him that one time on Question Time? I felt embarrassed for him. The precursor to Eddie Izzard's QT breakdown.

Yes, that's kind of how I feel about him too. He's got more issues than Reader's Digest but I can't bring myself to dislike the kid.

He is massively hedonistic.
comes across as "its my divine right"
i dont dislike him but i hate the way he seems to see the entire house as his plaything and the other people in there as his entourage.

No. I'll have to check it out. I reserve the right to change my mind! I do remember reading that his political views are a little all over the place.

Marco is an example of a degenerate man.

He has never had to work, to strive, to try and make his way in the world.

He gets what he wants, when he wants, he indulges his every whim, without a care for how this might effect his place in society because he doesn't need society, he just needs his dads money.

Money is king and god in Marco's world.

There does seem to be a lack of emotional development there. He seems oblivious to anything outside of his selfish and materialistic bubble. I can't imagine him understanding anything about people who have challenges in life.
I'd like to see what he's like in some future quiz BB set or something. Just to see if her has any knowledge about the world at all.

It almost seems to me that he has, maybe, had a bet as to how long it will take him to get someone into bed. I think Laura is 'star struck' due to who his dad is (or she is thinking of the potential income this could generate) and so is quite happy to go along with it.

In what way has he demonstrated this?
I don't know if you're right or wrong, but I haven't seen anything which would indicate this.

There was a scene in tonight's show where Ryan was crying, and Lateysha comforted him. Marco saw this and went over because it possibly seemed like the right thing to do. He said that Ryan was part of the family, gave him a hug, and then he was gone as quickly as he arrived as something else distracted him. On the surface it seemed nice, but to me it just looked like nothing. It didn't seem as if he genuinely cared, but that it was just something to do.
I'm not saying that this makes him a bad person, but I just got the sense that there was no real emotion there, or it was just something that made himself feel as if he was a good person and he'd done his good thing for the day.
I'm not trying to make out that he did a bad thing, I'm just saying that it didn't feel as if there was any real meaning to his actions.

As a previous poster said I agree that he strikes me as a person who could hurt somebody really easily. Not out of maliciousness, but out of selfishness and a genuine lack of empathy for other people. He just seems to be way too self-absorbed and narcissistic to have real time for other people and think about their needs.
