Didn't BB used to have rules? And if you broke those rules there were consequences? They had a prison once. Or they'd cut off the hot water or the electricity. People got warnings or were thrown out of the house.

BB has clearly given Marco a pass. He can do whatever the hell he likes entirely without consequences. Which is just as well because that's clearly how he's been able to live his life so far.

He's broken out of the house, messed with microphones, taken off his microphone, threatened people, bullied people, engaged in dangerous sexual acts . . . and not a word from BB.

Indeed, BB is apparently scared of him as they got someone else to do their dirty work for them when he was fiddling with the hanging microphone.

I'll be surprised if he lasts another week.

So true, Prof Matt - are they completely mad??? To allow a clearly intoxicated housemate to put a noose round his neck and ask someone to tighten it is totally untenable for a TV channel. Children watch BB. Do they think that by putting up those ridiculous 'warnings' beforehand they are acting responsibly? People have died playing that game. Why on earth didn't they stop it?

They should have issued a warning to him; albeit what he does in private is up to him but it sets a bad example and bad message to do nothing.

Unfortunately we were never told what the new rules were, just as we have never known the rules ever since the programme has been on Ch 5. In the earlier years, the rules were always published on the BB web site. This included the criteria for being nominated. It always used to be the two or more with the most nominations who were up. In recent years it has varied from one round of nominations to the next.

So where are these rules that have changed?

Really good point. There used to be a rule book that was always in the house and we'd see housemates reading it from time to time. Nowadays, they couldn't care less.

As I explained elsewhere a child whose parents let him watch Big Brother is going to have far more problems than the TV they watch.

If that's your crusade you need to worry less about TV and more about child neglect.

Actually, young teens will definitely be watching Big Brother and are less likely to be supervised. Watching sex strangulation games.

Since C5 took over, the rules are......there are no rules!

One week "we" decide who is evicted, another week HM's decide.

One week there are nominations, another week there are none.

They seem to make it up as they go along these days.

You can't place the blame on a TV show for a generation of imbeciles. Bad parenting is the problem.
