Mark Clattenburg will be the referee for this one.
Let's hope he has been attending classes on how to deal with and apply advantage, because he badly needs to improve in that area..

Isn't Vincent Kompany part of the BBC team? How come he isn't on the panel?

No Carrasco? **** I was looking forward to watching him play after he tore up the CL final.

Pelle top scored for the Italians in qualifying with three goals?

Did they not score that many in general?

They scored 16, conceded 7 in topping their qualifying group.

I have just seen the Italian line up

Is this the worst team they have had in their history

The only world class player they have got is Buffon and he is the goalkeeper

Not that many - and they must have been quite spread around.

Their defence is excellent too.
They have injuries to Verratti, Montilivio and Marchisio who would have been the 3 starting in midfield.
So they literally have a reserve midfield.
Not sure on their strikers in general

It is identical to how many Northern Ireland scored. England scored 31, Germany 24, Belgium 24, Czech Republic 19 in topping their groups.

Spreading the goal scoring around seems a good thing to me.

Absolutely, if your strikers aren't particularly prolific.

Two teams that cannot be trusted doing battle. Should be interesting.
I think both of them have the capacity to disappoint but also for the first time in the competition we have a game between two teams with reasonable expectations of making the semi-finals

they'll probably both settle for a draw in the belief that they'll beat the other two teams in the group

It looks like Carlos Valderrama's playing for Belgium on the main view.
