If it was me I'd rather a winning manager turns up for pre-season with the rest of the players than goes out of a competition early and twiddles his thumbs waiting for them.

Not exactly good striking options on the bench for Belgium, if they were looking to replace Lukaku.
Benteke and Origi for two |

True, what you don't really want is what we had, a manager having to play in the third/fourth playoff match, as that would mean him going all the way to the final few days without anything to show for it.

Not world beaters by any means are they? Perhaps though it might be worth putting one of them on, something they do might come off. |

I can't tell if Lukaku is playing like an impostor or just that he's up against Juventus' fine defence. Or both.

Hazard running all over the place to make things happen and no one else is moving for them. |

I don't think Belgium are awful, but Italy are playlng very well and with a lot of confidence.

De Bruyne has been unbelievably awful, just about everything he has done has been bad - so I guess he will be scoring the equaliser.

And the same Benteke who is actually a good striker, consistently getting 1-in-2 for five seasons? Even last year, despite playing in a team that doesn't suit him, and having suffered injuries, he managed 10 in 42. Not great, but it doesn't make him a terrible option. Belgium seem strong in the striking department. |

The same Origi that impressed last World Cup, and went on a great run for Liverpool this season, before getting injured?
