Ireland doing everything right but still only 0-0 against what looks like one of the worst teams in the competition. Certainly no team has played worse than Sweden have so far.

Turkey and Northern Ireland
I thought they held their own against Croatia. |

Ibrahimovic is doing better defensively then he is attacking, which is great credit to the Irish.

There's an element of Ireland making them look a poor team too....this is a good Irish side

Is it just Germany and France who have scored twice, would be nice if someone else could do likewise, so hopefully in the second half that will be Ireland.

WHAT do they have to do to score a goal?
I'm hoping if I post this we'll get one.

Only a minute? Just used at least 3 for that injury.

Yeah, need to take one of these chances. It's been a frustrating half so far.

Didn't know much about Jeff Hendrick before this match but he was excellent in that half.
The Swedish defence were retreating in fear every time he ran at them. |

Ireland have by far had the better chances, they just need to keep on doing well, and surely a goal will come.

Good half from the Irish. Unlucky not to be in front. Should be in front.

Every striker who came in with some sort of reputation has so far been rotten
Giroud - awful but at least scored Griezmann - anonymous Muller - poor Lewandowski - barely had a kick Morata - hauled off after 60 minutes Kane - average Vardy - didn't even play! Zlatan - TBC.... All setup for Ronaldo to make this tournament his own? Or Hazard? He was coming into form for Chelsea last month |
