At the moment Wales seem better than England and with them both been in Great Britain it won't matter which one wins on Thursday. Wales are getting better but England seem to have got worse ever since it was deja vu with Portugal at world cup 2006 after they failed to beat them at penalty rounds at euro 2004 which I remember. I bet that Wales will be better than England. What do you think?

It will matter which one wins, and even more because they're both in Britain. I have no idea about the rest.

Interesting one, when you compare both squads England man for man are the better. However of course, football is not played out on paper. Wales beating England could very well happen, and it would not be a surprise as such. Wales as a functioning unit are the better at the moment, plus having Bale could be the difference maker.

Man for man England are better but Wales do have one genuine world class player whereas England have none (imo) and Ramsay is probably better than any of the English midfielders.
Wales do seem to be a better team as well, for a long time now I think the English players have egos bigger than their ability which makes it hard for a coach to get them to play to a system.
Back when Scholes was playing England had a great chance to build something, they should have done like France did with Zidane, told the other midfielders your job is to win the ball and give it to him. But I just don't think their egos can handle being told they're only good enough to do a job.

With England's defence not being so strong, Wales have a chance of getting something out of the game especially if Roy makes poor substitutions again. Its going to be more like a Premier League game than a Euro one.

I hope England can win, they really do need to win if only to boost confidence in the players and supporters.

I would regard anything less than a comfortable England win, by two clear goals, as a disappointing result.

I don't think Wales are better than England and it does matter, I want England to win and I'm not bothered about Wales, I'm sure most Welsh fans feel the same in reverse.

I dont think England are getting worse, quite the opposite. They played well the other night, with a young side who will improve. The last minute goal put a real dampener on what was a good performance.

Wales have played together as a team much longer, and are a decent side, as well as having Bale, so I expect an even match.

Not a hope in the world will Wales win, it just isn't going to happen. England will win it comfortably.

3-0 England.

I'll be astonished if we lose.

I would disagree, not many teams put us under the kosh, so tend to be comfortable majority of the match...we do however tend to switch off at crucial times, probably because we are too comfortable.

I don't understand why people are saying Wales are better than England, just because they got a better result in their game, it's like some people are incredibly fickle.

I thought England played better than Wales and deserved to win in their match. I also think Slovakia looked quite poor against Wales, whilst Russia weren't exactly stellar, I would still say Slovakia are the weakest team in the group.

Yeah, like the way it doesn't matter if Man Utd or Man City win the PL, they're both based in Manchester so who cares.

Some of the hype surround the Welsh win over Slovakia is almost laughable, it was a good result but for people like Gabby Logan who should know better to call it 'Astonishing' is just silly, its not as if Slovakia are ranked 100 places above Wales in the rankings.

I know, you'd have thought that they thumped them 5-0 or something. What I saw was a pretty evenly matched game which Wales managed to sneak. I don't think their performances was any better than the England one. I wonder what people will think if Russia thump Slovakia today, will predictions change? Similarly if Slovakia hammer Russia. Im not too worried about Thursday, I'm getting flashbacks of when the Scots gave it large a couple of years ago and then didn't turn up and England destroyed them in Scotland. Think this might be similar.

Cannot really say. I have lost a lot of faith in Hodgson after the first game also find it strange that neither Sturridge or Vardy have been used yet. Sturridge should be starting because he is without doubt our best player AND HE IS FIT. We should beat Wales but Hodgson appears to have lost the plot at the worst time.

England couldn't beat Russia ----- Wales beat Slovakia ---- Slovakia beat Russia

Not looking good for England to beat Wales on that basis.
