and I don't know why.

Who is that continuity announcer putting on the ridiculous accent?

Since when is Jason pronounced Jeerson?

You don't know Marcus? He's been there since the start, but initially just used to tell the time, but now narrates the lot! None of us know why we're watching it either!

First time *not* watching this in years for me.

Nine o'clock came and I decided I couldn't put myself through another hour like last night!

I'm relying on DS posters to indicate when it's likely to have become a bit more interesting

Marcus has been there from the start, but a few years back he started sounding quite strange, like some over dramatic US voice over.

I wish Marcus would lear how to pronounce Ibiza in the competition. The first 'I' is short. Not 'eye- biza

It was when he moved to the real Geordie heartland of posh rural Kent that he started to put it on so dramatically

He's been on the local radio here (last year I think) talking about the show and he sounded like a regular guy, so it was/is obviously for the draaaaaaaa MA!

If it's any consolation he seems to have toned it down considerably this year

When he speaks normally he just sounds like a regular (and indeed very nice) guy like the radio interview I mentioned.

I guess he just does what he's told. It's a pretty cushy number really isn't it, he doesn't even go to the studios now, he has one at home he records the voiceovers from (except for live shows), so he's done very well for himself considering the nature of the job and the fact he would never in a million years be so lucky again!

Also as I said, they have toned it down a bit this year imo. He was much less involved than normal for example on the launch show I think.

It's seven O clock in the big brother house; Sophie is having a nap and Cameron is in the kitchen peeling potatoes.
