For a second time now, the producers have either been utterly incompetent in not properly vetting a housemate by even checking their Twitter account, put someone in with the intention of removing them to get publicity for their show or have decided that they don't want someone in the house so have used this as a retrospective excuse.

Poll should be up

Depends what the tweets are I honestly don't think Andrew should have been removed for his that's just my opinion.

If someone were found to have been praising or supporting terrorist groups or something like that then yes.

Depends if they were so bad BB felt that person may be a danger to a gay or person of diffrent race/religion then yes.

This should not happen , it's not the first time . Do the producer put the Hm in just so they can remove them for the PR..

Andrew's seemed quite mild to me although I'm not 1 to be offended by everything.

The 1 where he used the word 'Fag' for example was aimed at his brother who he seems to really get on with.

I think he was just trolling & I don't think he was a danger to anyone.

I don't condone what Andrew has tweeted, but the BB producers are hypocritical considering they have kept housemates in the house over the years who have made racist comments on the show.

Might be a case of If you face fits I don't know.

No, they should be judged on their actions inside the House.

It's the producers' job to fulfil social media checks before making them housemates.

Short of assaulting someone in the house or inciting violence against groups of people (either through tweets or in the house itself), I don't think anyone should be ejected.

Since his dad was black, I think it was just immature trolling, rather than him being an actual racist.

I bet the producers did exactly that and found themselves a patsy like Tila.

I have not seen any homophobic tweets by him so I can not comment on them directly but it is apparent that he was not happy with Ryan in their joint task. If he had made any comment that could have been deemed as being threatening to someone while using words that could be seen as homophobic, producers who may have usually tuned a blind eye may have had second thoughts after the weekend events.

In the event that a situation had kicked off and it became apparent that the producers were aware of any threatening or homophobic language or behaviour beforehand, no excuses would be acceptable.

I am not saying this is what happened but to me he did come across as a bit threatening and he has made negative comments against LGBT people, producers could not be blamed for thinking again about having someone like this in the house. Personally I dont think anyone who makes those sorts of comments should be there in the first place but as he was, then I don't think their would have been any choice but to remove him at this time if they deemed their was any possible risk

The two most violent people in there so far appear to be Marco and Natalie - both who look like they could flip in an instant. Andrew just seemed to think he was far smarter than he actually was.

The amount of really aggressive and uncomfortable moments between Natalie and Huey so far have much more warranted some action to be taken, really unpleasant from both.

But let's be right, they put Ron Atkinson on CBB, knowing full well why he had become close to unemployable, so they're quite happy to run the risk for a while, it seems...

In answer to the poll question the answer is no because they should not be in the house in the first place.

Producers must be aware of these posts beforehand but seem to turn a blind eye when it suits them. But as I stated in another thread, the recent massacre of innocent LGBT people, may have made them rethink the impact of homophobic comments made previously. In a situation like the house where tensions run high and housemates swinging for each other is not unknown. If Ryan for example was still annoying him and he went for him and then got ejected, there would be no way for them to downplay that and I do not blame them for making the decision to remove him now.

I just think it's disgusting that they seem to turn a blind eye to this sort of thing when it suits them

No. If they researched and vetted them properly in the first place they could decide before whether to accept them on to the show or not. Not suddenly plead ignorance when the public bring them to light, the usual three people moan about it, and the producers then crap themselves.

That's it Dangermoose. The producers must know this stuff in advance, but they seem to say to themselves lets play ignorant and then when it gets in the papers (which they know it will) we will get shot of em, but we will have had our free publicity by then.

I have no idea about Andrew's tweets - I can't be bothered searching for them - but if a housemate's tweet is so bad (inspires/celebrates violence or is racist, bigoted, homophobic, anti-semitic etc), they shouldn't be in the house in the first place. With a bit of research, these things should come to light long before the show airs.

NO, unless I don't like the HM

edit:
Keep Andrew but get rid of Ryan

Seems Ryan should have given it some thought.

Seeing as it would seem that was likely not the reason for his removal, the answer has to be no

HMs should be judged by their actions in the house any priors should have been raised at vetting stage. A simple task by producers vetting HMs would be to gain entry to all of their social media sites along with a simple declaration that they are NOT any of the following (suitable list to include racist. etc).

Putting Andrew out while allowing Chelsea and Marko to threaten to waste Security staff who tried to stop them leaving shows double standards.

The thing is why does a grown man feel the need to be trolling. To me it says that person has underlying issues. He also has a cold stare.
