Motorola V3 probs

Hi All

My brand spanking new Motorola V3 Razr arrived this morning and I've been playing. (Yeah yeah, I'm supposed to charge it for 15 hours....I could wait ok?).

Anyway a couple of problems I've spotted already. When you take a photo and the camera noise goes, the photo appears on the screen...but when you save the photo it displays an image taken a split second later, often when the camera is being moved so it's just a blur (this is despite the thumbnail showing the good photo). I know other motorolas have had similar problems but this does seem a bit crap for their latest phone.

Another thing, I tried to send a pic to a friend (first camera phone I've had, I was excited) it seemed to go through ok but the message was sitting in the outbox. Not sure if it does this anyway I went to check its status. Upon doing this the backlight went off, the screen went white and after a few moments and phone "re-booted" and showed the welcome screen and then returned to the home screen.

Anyone else experienced these problems or have I got a dud?

The V3 has exactly the same software as V600's and they are prone to major problems....Personally I would send it back and go for a D500 or Nokia 7610 which are much better

My partners V3 takes the photo a split second later too..so i don't think yours is a dud.

It's the black one. I wasn't expecting it to be, I got it on free upgrade from Vodafone (I requested my PAC code to go elsewhere and they didn't want me to leave, I'm so special ).

The camera thing is really getting on my nerves, it obviously has the non-blurred photos there somewhere because the thumbnails are fine. Very strange.

After posting the message I went back to the outbox and tried to open the photo message, same result. Judging by the icon next to it is hadn't sent but either way I should be able to view it (the photo I sent is still saved).

Motorola must have been made aware of these problems, it's unbelievable that they chose to use the same system as older models. Oh well.

Thanks again

Dan
