Quality of the save matched the quality of the cross.

Not sure how Nani didn't score.

They just showed a Portugal fan who looked like he wanted to cry because of the save, bit early for tears I think.

I always knew they nicked all our ideas.
No wonder they're so widely panned.

Their fans seem as petulant as their players.

Definitely. I can't wait to see what happens if Iceland manage to score.

Me too, I'd love that to happen, but it doesn't seem likely.

I think every players name in the Iceland squad ends with Son except Eidur Gudjohnsen

He must feel left out
He is specifically mentioned in this rather interesting Wikipedia article on Icelandic names (I was curious as to why their surnames ended in son) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_name

Portugal have got some really good players and they still have

Renato Sanches
William Carvalho

and

Bruno Alves on the bench

That's more like it, Nani.

That is a lovely goal, four one-touch passes and a sharp finish completely sliced through Iceland.

TBH I was surprised they made it to the half hour without conceding.

Have to say, I've been quite impressed by Portugal so far. And that's without Ronaldo firing yet.

I still have a small part of me which likes Nani, so I am pleased that he scored.

That was from earlier when the keeper saved his header.

Their defending has left questions to be answered, though.
