He's looked quite isolated and lacked much service in fairness. But I think he was just trying too hard.

I hate this ridiculous trend for giving free kicks against attackers for having the temerity to challenge a keeper in the air. Ronaldo has to be allowed to go for the ball.

I don't disagree with that, especially about him trying too hard, but players of such extraordinary ability as him are expected to make more happen than he has done. His failure to score from what for him was a very good chance (header) sums his match up really.
