I agree she made it sound like she'd been banging him. If she meant her firm investigated him, she's indiscreet and unprofessional. And wouldn't explain why they were very close, she sounds like she really likes and respects him, despite saying he was a bastard to his Mrs.

I like Jayne too. I don't dislike Chelsea but the way he shows off is a bit immature.
That said, the pair are like chalk and cheese. I am baffled how she ever 'got with him'. Unless she worked for him and he asked her out.

Perhaps she was investigating somebody else on his behalf - maybe he was the client
