Thinking of how Family Affairs wrote out the entire Hart family in one disaster way back in 1999, I was wondering which family could meet this same fate on Coronation Street?

Simple question: which Coronation Street family would you kill of in its entirety in a single disaster?

Thats a tricky one, probably the Nazirs as I am least attached to them.

This is easy for me, the Nazirs, I've grown to like Zeedan and Grandma Nazir is ok but Alya is the worst character on the show and the grandpa isn't much better. Corrie would be much better without them.

Got to be the godawful, show-ruining Dobbs and the filthy hovel they live in for me. Shame about Ruby and Hope, but sometimes collateral damage happens.

Think they could still do something with the nazirs, the dobbs on the other hand I think have reached their conclusion - voted for them

The new Connor's hands down, bloody awful and unlikable, adding nothing to the show imo

I voted for the Connors but on reflection I wish I'd voted Dobbs.

It's very rare that I say something like this as I think with some original thinking from a writer or storyliner even the worst character can be redeemed, but I agree with what you say ritchie - Fiz and Tyrone have reached their conclusion.

They need to be killed off in a disaster that brings total destruction to their hovel at No.9 ...

Also agree that there is potential for the Nazirs.

Aiden has added some serious male hotness I actually like Johnny too and I'm looking forward to Jenny manipulating him. Now Kate I could take or leave.

For those who are into a bit of niche soap geekery, I've just remembered that Richard Hawley (Johnny Connor) was heavily involved in the storyline leading up to the death of the Hart family.

I just think the Nazirs are rather boring as a family, (the writers' fault, not theirs), but at least they don't have stupid whiny baby voices like Fizz or look and sound like mentally challenged turnips like Tyrone.
Plus I need Zeedane to stay because I literally ROFL every time I look at his 'hairstyle' and laughter is always good whatever the reason.

Had it been a multiple choice Poll, then the Beth/Kirky/Sinead/Chezza family would've been a very very close second. Not funny, can't act, there to appeal mainly to the lowest common denominator of viewers imo.

The obvious choice was to go for the Nazirs, but I think such a dramatic storyline would be a waste because they are characters not many people care about. So I went for the Grimshaws, who are more popular, but who in my opinion are a spent force. They've all had their day, as well as Sean who also lives there.

Tough one for me, The Windass's I voted for but if I had known that the Sutherland/Brown had yet to pick up a single vote, I'd have chosen them.

I'd have the Windass's die in a taxi crash after it crashes into a tram or a bus in Manchester city centre.

I'd rather vote for the ones I'd like to survive - the Grimshaws, Barlows and Platts

The rest can go to hell

I especially looked for Dev and his kids who need to be removed to bring the shop into line. In the end I had to plump for the Nazirs

I left the Alahans out because they were only three characters. I drew the line of 'family' being four or more

Sorry!

They need to be removed. A new family could easily take over the shop. Every scene with Dev's overacting is a pain..

Haha Kate doesn't annoy me like Alya who I cannot stand. I think Kate is bland boring and pointless.

I have to agree with Oldnjaded. The Dobbs would definitely get it if I was EP

I actually like The Nazirs. Especially the mother. They have just been a victim of poor direction. But i often wonder whether they were brought in to tick the asian family box because Emmerdale has The Sharmas and ED have The Masoods. Or were they introduced with an actual purpose?

I voted for The Doobs. They are an absolute waste of time and air.
