Now That We've Seen All 24...
... who has impressed you the most from the first set of matches and who has disappointed you the most?
think italy were the ones that impressed me more than any other... austria on the other hand were a major disappointment. |

I think Italy as well but I honestly would have said England as well had they managed to hang on for the win.
The way Northern Ireland set up was very disappointing but I would also but Belgium in there for the dour football they played with such a talented squad. |

Italy for definite the most impressive. I did like Croatia, too. I expected so much more from NI but they didn't show up at all. Austria and Belgium were bitterly disappointing, also. |

Italy, Croatia, Spain.
I'm enjoying the competition, but to me it confirms that there aren't actually 24 decent national teams in UEFA. There have been a few games between uninspiring teams. Maybe we're spoilt now by the unprecedented standard of club football, but international football feels like a step down. I think it was Martin Keown who summed up the excellent Italian performance very well the other night. He said "they played like a club side." Exactly. |

Italy have been the best so far with France, Croatia and England just behind.
Northern Ireland, Belgium and Austria the worst so far. NI were too conservative. |

Defenetly Poland. They were playing well and some young stars appears. Maybe some of them will be as good as Lewndowski.

Italy and Croatia the best two, followed closely by Spain and Germany.
Germany were sloppy in their first half against Ukraine and defended poorly.. but they showed signs of their brilliance throughout and could turn it on at any moment like they always do. Honorable mention to Hungary though, who played a lot better than I thought they would. Whereas Iceland were about as good as I expected them to be, with grit and determination getting them there against Portugal. |

Hungary and Italy for me have produced the two best collective team performances, with Croatia and Wales also doing very well.

I was very impressed by Italy and Germany, England and Spain to a lesser extent, and a special mention to Southern Ireland.
The worse Northern Ireland because they played 100% negative football. |

Italy look the best. Solid in defence and can score goals.
Most disappointing has to be Belgium. Played like a noughties England side. Austria! Please show up! Portugal - supposed to be one of the most exciting teams there but mediocre at best. Iceland should have been ideal opponents fir then to lay in to. |

Best has been Italy by a country mile.
Worst Northern Ireland, and I say that as an NI man. The squad themselves have admitted it though and I expect to see a vastly improved performance tomorrow. |

Spain looked good in comfortably beating Turkey without a great deal of effort, but it's still Italy for me. As for the worst team, Northern Ireland redeemed themselves with their fine victory so it's now Turkey or Czech Republic. |

Best, Spain, England, Italy. Spain's performance yesterday was the best of the tournament so far, England have just lacked end product and Italy have been solid.

The dark worse sides have been disappointing too. Croatia were looking so good until everything went mental and the game slipped away against the Czechs. Spain looked ominous against Turkey. |

Italy still the ones that have impressed me the most.
Sweden now the biggest disappointment. They've been wretched. |

Italy and Spain have looked the best so far over the two games.
Sweden and Russia have both been dire. |

hardest to score against -Italy. They look dodgy up front though and one injury or suspension to the Juve back 3, different story.
Do yellow cards get carried through to the knock out stages? Spain the best side so far for me. France promising. Germany and England have been ok. Turkey, Portugal and Sweden biggest flops. |
