The game will also be on talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5 Live and on the BBC Sport website and App.

In their 9 previous meetings the Russians have claimed 3 wins, the Slovaks 2. There's been only 3 goals scored in their last 4 meetings.

Russia have only kept 2 clean sheets in their 16 games at the Euros. Slovakia have not been beaten in back-to-back matches since October 2013.

Just as long as that action on the pitch is not overshadowed by the Russian thugs misbehaving in the stands.

I'm hoping for a draw in this one, need the other teams to get as few points as possible for Wales to go through.

I am assuming the Russians have targeted matches against Slovakia and Wales as winnable. I took the view the Russians played a very conservative (actually excruciatingly boring, as poor as Northern Ireland were against Poland) game against England just to secure a draw, which seemed the extent of their ambition for that game. Now I will see if I was right and if there is actually much more to their game than they showed in that match. Should be a good game as both sides really need three points.

And once again thanks to Sattrega, favourite for the golden boot of the Euro 2016 threads, awarded to the poster who starts the most useful threads.

Shame this is the 2pm game today, it's a nice one for 8pm (for my convenience)! Slovakia definitely can't afford to lose.. A draw keeps Russian in the running.

Ah, that's a pity (about the scheduling) - I have a diary full of bank holidays (I'm retired and as happy about it as a pig in you know what) and it is the only match I definitely intend watching today. I think I might settle for highlights of the other two matches (give my eyes a break).

You are right about Slovakia, which might make them a bit more cautious than is good for them, possibly fear of losing holding them back too much tactically.

If they did play for a draw against England, they were extremely lucky to get that late goal, talking about cutting it fine, and before England scored, the Russian defence didn't look too great to me, we had many chances, we just failed to capitalise on most of them.

Personally, I don't think it's in the Russian mindset to play for a draw, they play to win. I just don't think their team is that great. Of course, there's every chance a team as average as Slovakia might make them look better than they are.

hoping that it's an attacking game... you'd expect slovakia to have a go after losing their first game. but the recent record between the 2 doesn't bode well for excitement...

I thought Russia were one of the poorest sides from the opening group games. The only player who looked good to me was Kokorin. Their play was slow and predictable, I forgot how many times the central defender played the ball out to the full back only for him to pass it back and then it be hoofed up front to the big man.

I'm hoping for a Slovakia win, if Hamsik turns up, I think they'll do it.

I can understand them targeting the Slovakia game as a winnable one, but the Welsh game, really???

Wales are a very good collective unit, and of course they also have Bale to use if needs be.

I would be very surprised if they thought that match was an ideal one to target forthe three points.

I agree with you about Russia (which is why I compared their performance with NI's), but as Slovakia hardly set my pulse racing I need to talk Russia up to justify me watching the match this afternoon - I couldn't care less who wins, I just want to see a good contest.

I came to post that he looks like either his or his families life has been threatened.

Yes - I did notice quite the contrast when it went from the blonde and brunette in the crowd to a big close up of a sweaty, bulbous, gawping Russian manager

I quite fancy Slovakia to win this one. And hope they do. I know a draw would be the best result for England, but right now I'd take satisfaction in seeing the Russians lose a game.
