Any Fans of Soya Milk ?
I have recently switched to using Soya Milk, just as a health choice. Have tried Alpro Original and the Tesco Sweetened Soya and think they are both pretty good. Does anyone else have a favourite Soya Milk?

I don't like plain soya milk but I do like other versions that alpro/koko/almond breeze/etc do like the hazelnut, almond and coconut milks. The latter being my favourite.
I also like the alpro yogurts! |

I love Alpro simply mild, it doesnt have too much of its own taste so doesnt change the taste of your cuppa.

Morrisons M Savers unsweetened soya drink - it has a very neutral taste so can be used in a lot of drinks without changing the flavour, it works in cooking, very low calorie etc and if you look at the ingredients it has pretty much the same, in the same proportions as products costing twice as much. Its 59p a litre which actually makes it cheaper than most cow's milk too!

Hemp milk is lovely but I currently love oatley milks! The chocolate one is amazing and just marginally nicer than the almond dark chocolate milk.

You have Costco there, yes? Do they use Kirkland as their house brand, if so their plain soy milk is really pretty good.

I did have a taste of it once in coffee, I would not go mad about it, I will stick to cows milk in my cappuccinos, Saying that I normally have black coffee at home. |

If you're really into it, you can buy a diy machine and make your own. Beans and water are much less expensive than premade, and you can tailor the milk to your needs and taste. You can also use the bean pulp to up the protein content in baked goods or soups and make other soy products like tofu. |

You soak dried beans in water until they swell, then under heat you grind them with more water, and filtre out the pulp. Then you season the resulting liquid (or not, it depends on who makes it) with things like salt, some sort of sweetner (like brown rice syrup) and flavourings - vanilla and chocolate being the most popular.

Husband is diabetic and does enjoy a rice pudding and for that I use almond soya milk.
It gives the pudding a really nice taste. |
