Just wondered if anyone has any advice as to whether buying a pair is good or bad, or does it make any difference? I'm listening to music on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it's a bit of a hassle with the cord on my headphones always getting in the way. Is it worth getting the bluetooth or are they more trouble than they're worth?

Thanks
TH

Have the advantage of a behind the neck loop so do not interfere with you choice of headwear. Not that pricy so could be worth a punt?

I already have a pair of in ear buds that are bluetooth which I use to listen to the test cricket playing in the work van while I am not actually in the cab but prefer to use a pair of corded over the ear phones when listening to music on the move / out of the house. I thread the cord underneath my outermost layer of clothing which stops it getting in the way.

Thanks for that. It would only be for when I was out of course, as otherwise I'd be listening to music on my stereo or ipod. I was more concerned with the possibility of interference maybe from other Bluetooth devices, dropping signal/connection etc. Experienced anything like that? Also, how does the sound quality compare to your corded ones? I use a pair of Bose, they're ok - probably expensive as I got them as a leaving present from Bose themselves - but don't seem audiophile quality or anything.

Thanks

I bought a pair of Urbanears end of last year when there was a half price offer via Spotify. Fancied some cordless and found them OK. Sound seems decent enough though not compared them to anything else. My hearing isn't the best due to damage from loud machinery so maybe not the best person to judge sound quality. There is a cord with them incase the battery runs flat. They are charged via micro usb. All told I find them good for the £35 I paid

Another thing to consider is that in my experience Bluetooth tends to run down the mobile phone battery appreciably quicker than corded. Thank goodness for portable power packs?

Thanks guys. Gomezz, I've taken your advice and gone for those Olixars. Great price (23 Euro incl post) and the controls on the pads, esp for pause, really sold it for me. I'll let you know how I get on when they arrive.
Thanks again

For anyone interested, they arrived today and will be test driving them over the next few days, so will report back on how suitable they are, or whether or not I notice any problems with them.

Initial impressions: wearing a neckband is a lot less intuitive than the standard headphones or even earbuds, but you quickly get used to it. Pairing was simple and effective and the idea of having a pause button on the earpad is great: saves having to fish out the phone, swipe the screen and hit pause on the player every time I need to pause playback. There's also a volume button on the pad, again a great idea and saves so much hassle.

Have not been out with the phones as yet, but indoors they seem quite clear and relatively comfortable. Might feel like a bit of a knob walking around with a blue flashing light on my headphones, but no more I guess than anyone with a bluetooth headset. Very compact and seem quite durable. Impressed so far anyway. Will test them in "field conditions" tomorrow when I head out.

I have been using these the last few months with my IPhone 5s. They may not be bluetooth headphones but are very good bluetooth earphones.

Bitten the bullet myself as I can see they will be useful for listening to podcasts from my phone while on the move.

Thanks for the link, made a good present.
Fine for speech which is the main usage and bargain price.
