No arrogance at all from me. It's the Wales team and their fans who have been acting arrogantly. They've done very well to qualify for these championships of that there is no doubt. But if you look at their team on paper, it is full of holes and weaknesses that we should be able to exploit with ease. If England don't cover the -1.5 goals handicap I'll be very disappointed.

We're due a few goals in the finals of a tournament, and hopefully it's Wales who will be on receiving end of something special today.

I think it will be the same starting 11, they all had a very good first half and could have easily been 2 up so reckon Roy will give them another chance.

The Welsh fans have been acting arrogantly? Nah. For a lot of us it's the first major tournament in our lifetime and are just enjoying the ride. Hugely proud of the boys on Saturday, but realistic. Sure on paper England should win, but it's played on grass, it's a funny old game, it only takes a second to score a......ooh, I've gone cliche mad!

Said on another thread; head says England, heart says Wales...

I'm an Englishman who's been living in Wales for decades and I think that is a very fair description. Mind, if Wales win I might have to move back over the border, I will never hear the end of it

The issue was we could not put the ball in the net and if I was Roy the first thing I would have done is take off Lallana or Sterling and bring Vardy or Sturridge on. Not rocket science is it Roy? I really hope he does not cower out of making bold decisions again. Because if he does, we will be out at the groups stages YET AGAIN.”

I think it's more Hodgson is playing it too safe. Kane is clearly knackered & should never be taking corners, but clearly Hodgson doesn't rate anyone else for those. I agree that Vardy & Sturridge should start. Sterling should be dropped but I bet he isn't.

I like that, I think I might put it aside in my mind to use in the future.

Regarding the last part I do think England will win but want Wales to. As the only Welshman where I live I imagine I will be the only one cheering us on.

I don't think Wales have been acting arrogantly. It's their first tournament in nearly 60 years- do you expect them to be shouting 'yep, we're the whipping boys' when they have a supreme talent like Bale in their team? Come off it.

Tbh as I follow the Premiership and my 'second' team is Southampton, always wanted England to progress in the Euros/World Cup to keep things interesting. (I can't be traced on here ) Obviously it's a tad different when you're in the same group. I'm supporting the Irish teams in their games too and have supported Scotland in the past.

(Draw the line at the England rugby team though. And they're far too good these days!)

Which rugby team do you draw the line at league or union?

Good post. That's more like it. Anything can happen in a game of football, enjoy the occasion and maybe your boys can do something astonishing. You've always got a chance of snatching something with Bale.

Bale is one decent player in a pretty poor team.

Just like Ronaldo and Portugal.

3-0 England.

To be fair that's one more decent player than England have.

Heard this plenty of times before.

Portugal may not be great but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking England are a team full of quality while Portugal are not.

Hate England, love an English club.

Bit odd if you ask me.

Lots of interesting related match facts on the BBC web site http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36486410, but this one really surprised me,

Bale is the first British player to score a direct free-kick in a Euro finals game.
