It occurs to me that Roy is like the Stuart Lancaster of English football, when what we need is an Eddie Jones.

2nd still means we automatically qualified and we still have a chance to top this group.

You get easy groups sail through them then when it comes to tournament time you bottle it then you pick and chose scapegoats and blame going out on them.
We get easier groups, because we are seeded higher. That's how it works.

There's luck in everything. It's ridiculous pretending there isn't a lot of luck in football.

Man utd were lucky the last two times they won the European cup. Lucky to beat Munich. Lucky to beat Chelsea.

Ferguson was always lucky, although there's a bit of the Gary players about it. The luck disappeared when he went.

Except van gaal got very lucky.

And giggs has been pretty unlucky not to get the man utd job. Swansea would be a good fit for him.
How exactly were we lucky to win those two cups then?

I really not sure which part of this post is the most ridiculous non of it is logical or remotely factual.

If Swansea would be a good "fit" for Giggs why would Utd be a "good fit"?

What is a "gary player"?

I figured she was talking about Neville?? Not sure as to why he had anything to do with Uniteds 'luck' though

I thought this was a sporting forum. Gary Player?

Great South African Golfer
When accused of being "lucky", he said that the more he practised, the luckier he got.

Giggs. Needs away from Man Utd. Ready to manage. Welsh. I thought Swansea needed a manager.

Man Utd not lucky to win the European Cup? Against Munich. 2 goals in the last minute, when Munich were outplaying them. Against Chelsea. Terry slipped over to gift the trophy to Man Utd.

You've got some red devil tinted specs there, I think, if you don't think Fergie was lucky.

Giggs unlucky? He is less qualified than Moyes was.

I agree with the Munich win but we were all over Chelsea in the first half of that final win.

Well off topic, but Mourinho is going to be as rubbish as Van Gaal was for Man Utd. Giggs would have been a far better choice. If Giggs has any self respect he will leave.

Well he did make some "calls" - and it didn't turn out too well.

This is specifically a football forum. The general sport forum is one level above it.

I don't think anyone has any specs on they are just using facts which you have so far failed to produce even one actual fact just "In my view"

So a person's nationality is now a reason to give someone a job as manager? As far as I know Swansea have a manager

So you know for a fact JT would have scored? Considering he was never really a regular pen taker I am not sure what you are basing that on. He could have scored but its just as likely he would not have. As a Chelsea fan I thought the game was pretty even. We just lacked that little bit extra to win the game, With a more experienced manager I think we would have won

When England go out can't wait to see people calling it bad luck rather than criticising the manager and team.

Your logic is bizarre. Of course England would've qualified from Wales' group and probably as group winners too. Likewise England will win the group in this tournament. They haven't "bottled it" yet.
Didn't take long for your confidence to be shown as just wishful thinking.
