Sami must be careful here, on yellow, just chopped down Lewandowski.

Get Mario Gomez on to crack some heads. Doesn't Loew care about my golden boot bet?

Bit more attacking threat from Poland in the last few minutes...
Germany look a bit sluggish. |

Low sensibly keeping his hands occupied with a bottle of water when the camera cut to him there.

This desperately needs something exciting to happen to ignite it.

two teams playing from the start like they're more than happy to take a point...

Well, that was an effort to get through. Surely things can only get better?!

So many of these games are having no stoppage time at the end of the 1st half

Problem is a draw 99% guarantees both teams to go through. It makes the game play like a friendly no one wants to give 100% to risk an injury or suspension for future games.

Are we seeing the negative to the new format for the first time tonight?
What should be a cracking game given the teams involved in reality is a stalemate as both sides know a point will do nicely. Hopefully it improves but a goal is needed to bring this to life. |

Don't really see it as down to the new format. Even if only top two went through then a draw would suit these two just the same. It's not like teams never played for a draw in previous years.

What a chance for Milik!
Looks as though the ball dipped lower than he was expecting having already committed himself to heading it. |
