Ahhhh a proud Norn Irish man with a very very horse throat!!!

Amazing results, fully fully deserved! Knew the Poland game was not at all indicative of our quality.

Take a point off the Germans and we are almost certainly through!!!

Great Stuff!!! Why didn't we play like that against Poland?

Ukraine though very poor.
I think they froze on the big stage on Sunday. That was the 'real' NI today

Terrific result for NI and thoroughly deserved. A vast improvement all over the pitch.

Sets up the final set of matches beautifully.

The second goal could be crucial, too, if NI finish in 3rd spot.

After Sunday's matches, I predicted that Ukraine would target this match to try and rack up their goal difference.

I hold up my hands and concede that I was completely deceived by Northern Ireland's performance against Poland into thinking that they were the whipping boys of the group.

Today, they proved they're anything but.

The element of the victory that pleases me the most is, like Roy Hodgson earlier, Michael O'Neill recognised how poor they were, made bold and extensive changes to address it and he has been completely and totally vindicated.

Well played Northern Ireland.

(Have to also say that I also got a false representation of Ukraine in how they played in the first half against Germany, because compared to that, they were absolutely awful and deserved nothing today.)

They could be looking at a third place finish and a last 16 game with France

Well done to Northern Ireland - never really looked troubled most of the match. Ukraine played with no urgency and their shooting was absolutely woeful.

I think Poland vs Germany could be match of the tournament tonight - very little between both sides and NI will be hoping for a comfortable German victory, but I am not so sure ... this is a very good Polish team who already beat the Germans in qualifying.

Yes no love lost between these two,,Poland are not scared of them and they are who they want to beat more than any other. I think it could be a scoring draw

Indeed. There's also a not-impossible scenario in which it gets them second place, assuming everyone loses to Germany and Ukraine narrowly beat Poland. NI's two-goal win among the tied teams would put them second.

Don't think this is true as it goes on H2H. If the three non German teams finish on 3 points each the order will be Poland - NI - Ukraine. Goal difference doesn't count.
