Well I seem to be the only person with the GPS issue I mentioned then! It's working perfectly on iOS 9. I'm reluctant to upgrade now in case the problem comes back.

I felt that way with the iPad WiFi issue I had. But the next update fixed it.

Maybe it's a conflicting app somewhere ?

Released Friday which is unusual. Probably critical bug fixes.

What does that mean? Could an app mess up the whole GPS on the phone? The problem did end up following me back to iOS 9 anyway unfortunately.

Well sometimes if you're the only one who has a problem and nobody else appears to have the same issue, it might be something specific to the setup you have and/or the apps you have.

It might just be that App "X" causes an issue with GPS on iOS 10 because it hasn't been properly updated yet, but then since you've said it's followed you back to iOS 9 then it might not be the case - might actually be a hardware issue with the GPS chip ?

Yes, I'm beginning to think this is the case. When it did start playing after I rolled back to iOS Apple's suggestions were to reset location and privacy and to do a full reset. Neother worked. It's quite unusual for it to be a chip in the phone though. Ah well, iPhone 6s is on the way now so we shall see if the issue follows me to that!

I'm not expecting anything new. There are probably a few bugs to be fixed and under the hood improvements still to be made but i've been running it for weeks now without a single issue.

The keyboard does need to be made slightly more interactive as i still have to move around the screen when i'm replying to something on DS.

There's still a bug in the music player as well. When you select 'songs' it still orders it by artist instead of song title so i hope that's fixed.

I think it's a great update though - the overhaul of messaging is fantastic.

GM won't be until next week, according to Engadget, 13th September.

Edit: sorry to be clear the final release will be on the 13th, there may well be a GM today for beta users.

There's a big long list of features and improvements . Not sure if they are new or the ones we got already from all the betas.

What's that? The list is in settings when you download the update.

The changelog is just another name for the list of changes

I haven't looked at the list, I just jumped straight in to downloading and installing it, which it's doing as I type.

I'll have a look through it when it's done - there are two specific things I know to look for to see if they've fixed, so we'll see.

Just to clarify, all the GMs released today are for developers only - no more public betas. The GMs include iOS 10, macOS Sierra and watchOS 3.

well i'm using it now and the two issues i noted earlier on are still there. replying to a post on DS means you have to manually swipe left and right as the line of text still goes off the edge of the screen and selecting "songs" in the music app still orders all the songs by artist.
