The advice is to click for updates on iTunes which may restore the phone. If not you will have to do a full restore. Do a backup first.

Got the iTunes lightning symbol.
Connected to laptop but it's just giving errors when trying to install software.
Trying a restore but it's showing 2 hours to download.

It's odd that it mainly seems to be A9 devices as my iPad Pro 9.7 had no issues with any of the beta's or the GM release.

Did you try just turning the power off and back on like Richard?

Apple screwing up. But I thought it was only Samsung.

iOS 10 is now available on all devices.

Prepare for the 'iOS 10 killed my iThing' thread!

Cause having to restore a phone via iTunes is the same as burning a child or setting a car on fire?

You're hilarious.

There's probably a YouTube video as we speak with someone expressing faux outrage.

No but my phone doesn't bend in my pocket either.

Just thought I'd let people know my iPad Pro (12.9) is now less use than a brick after trying to update to iOS10. Showing the iTunes logo and lightning adaptor on the screen. I tried switching it off but it just goes back to it again. What are you supposed to do if you don't have a mac or laptop to connect to? Phone (6 plus) updated fine. Tried to contact support but not getting much luck there either.

Without a computer you're probably stuck taking it to an Apple Store, or to a friends.

You don't have iTunes on your computer? What are you posting this from?

Did you actually read my post?
Anyway, managed to get through to support. They just basically told me the only thing to do is to connect to iTunes. Managed to get onto my mates mac and am currently downgrading back to ios9 point whatever.
This is REALLY convenient for all those people who have been told you don't need a computer anymore for your phone/iPad. Except when apple f*ck up and you actually do.

It crashed my iPhone 6S and it is now showing the factory reset screen Now trying to update to the latest version of iTunes so I can attempt to update/factory restore. I very stupidly didn't back up before so I will have lost some stuff (my own fault). My only saving grace is I have stuff on my iPad shared through from my phone plus a backup from a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently the issue is fixed. Also the issue seems to have been that OTA it was trying to update to iOS 10.0 instead of the correct iOS 10.0.1

I'm going to wait a few days before I download and install IOS 10 to my iPhone 5s and IPad Mini 4 till I see more reviews and how people are going on with it first.

Yes it's available from 5 up. Have a look in your settings, it should be here.

Definitely back up before trying it though!
