10.0.2 is out apparently, but I suspect it's iPhone 7 only - my 6s is apparently up to date.
Just checked on my 6S and 10.0.2 is available to download and install.

Still not available for me - did you upgrade to 10 from 9 or did you have any of the betas installed ?

I upgraded to 10 straight from 9. Never had any of the betas. Well it was 9 to 10.0.1 as 10 bricked my phone.

Maybe they're rolling it out slowly?

I updated an iPhone 6 to 10.0.2 yesterday, so your phone is definitely not out of date.

I'm not massively fussed at the moment, but i suppose if i can't update to whenever the next one comes out i might have to consider my options.

Definitely . For me, it's certainly one of the best versions of iOS i've used - the update to the messaging app really is the highlight.

Do you have an iPhone 6?

I didnt notice much difference in features between a 6, a 6s or a 7, (obviously excluding hardware changes like force touch).

The 6 might be a little slower in operation but hasn't really lost out yet. Even a 5s still works well on iOS 10.

I won't upgrade if it's slower - iOS 10 is clearly geared towards the iPhone 7

Can someone give me a definitive answer with regards to upgrading my iPhone 6 to iOS 10? Is it slower?

You misunderstand, the 6 is a little slower than the 6s, (nothing to do with the firmware), I just mean in general use (probably due to less RAM and a slower processor), it was a little slower than the 6s on iOS 9 as well.

iOS 10 does not slow down the 6, it's still as quick in operation as it was on iOS 9.

it has been for me, I've got an iPhone 6 and it's just as fast, if not faster than when running on iOS9. I'd say go for it.
Even runs well on my 5s too, no slowdown on that I've noticed either.

I ran iOS 10 from the original beta on the 5s and updated the 6 to 10.0.1 as soon as it was released. In my opinion, it's worth the upgrade.

Well worth updating even on a 5s. I have a 7 and a 5s and have no problems on either

Still can't update to 10.0.2.

Can't quite be bothered to do a full restore at the moment though

I imagine if i backed up and restored, restoring from backup would likely just restore the same issue that isn't letting me update.

Didn't think of that actually, although "slight" problem at the moment. Thought i'd try the shift+update method with the relevant IPSW file for 10.0.2, as it was something I hadn't thought of either.

Did that, but it bombed me out with an 'Error 14' and dumped me in to restore mode so I had no choice but to restore and update to 10.0.2.

What's made it rather infuriating is that it won't see the backup I made this morning, most likely because it was made from 10.0.1.

I'll try a manual downgrade just to see if i can restore it, but it not then I guess i'll have to bite the bullet and set it up as new all over again.
