Got there in the end. Manually downgraded and restored the backup ok. Still wouldn't find the OTA update for 10.0.2 so deleted the Developer Profile, rebooted and did the Shift+Update method for !0.0.2 and it sailed through so fully updated now and didn't have to set up as new again, which is a result

Maybe if you hadn't kept upgrading and downgrading and upgrading again all the time you wouldn't have had that problem.

Doesn't do it for me either - don't know why.

Hi

I received my new iPhone 7 Plus yesterday, during the setup I updated to iOS 10.0.3.

After setting up my iPhone, I signed in with my Apple ID and downloaded the Beta Profile.

My issue is that when I go to Settings>General>Software Update, its stating iOS 10.0.3 is up to date instead of showing the iOS 10.1 Public Beta 5 is available to download.

Ive deleted the profile several times and downloaded again. Ive rest the iPhone back to Factory Settings and downloaded the Beta Profile again. Still my iPhone states iOs 10.0.3 is up to date.

Any ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Barry

Are you sure you signed up to the Beta profile again because my old Beta profile didn't transfer to the iPhone 7 Plus and I had to sign up again and download it.

Did you try a soft reset? Do you have iTunes on your computer? Is the beta update there when you plug the phone into iTunes on your pc?

If none of these things work just delete your beta profile and reinstall it.

Hi

Yeah I done a soft reset. I have iTunes on my iMac, Ive not plugged the iPhone into it yet.

Would that make a difference?

Ive deleted the Beta Profile and reinstalled it several times. At one point I'd also installed a Developers Profile and it didn't work either.

As Ive said, the only thing Ive not done is connect my iPhone to iTunes.

I've found sometimes in the past OTA updates are not on the phone and I had to plug my phone into iTunes to download any new updates.

It's quite strange that your beta profile is there but it is not updating. Maybe someone else knows the reason why. Are there any settings turned off to check for updates?
