Last one before public release on Monday I'd say.

Same build as beta 7 so no update for us beta testers.

No, although ios 10.2 beta seems to be still buggy, safari crashes and apps not updating automatically. 😳

Apparently 10.3 beta 1 is due in early January with a "Theatre" mode which nobody seems to be too clued up on.

Would be nice if it was a 'dark' mode for the menus and options, but i doubt it will be.

A theatre mode should just be the same as power off, then not allow them to turn it back on for three hours.

That's actually quite a good idea

I think that article's suggestion is probably close to what it'll be though. You can enable night mode manually with one touch, so I suspect this will be the same but it'll essentially be a one-touch "silent" mode option - or a "silent night" option, if you will, since it'll likely activate night mode and just include lowering volumes and maybe automatically sending calls to voicemail.

I assume this is an American thing, so really it means cinema mode to us.

I thought one of the reasons theatres ask people to power off phones was because they can interfere with radio mics.

I see so many people now with apple watches in theatres. Every time they move their wrist, it lights up, and is very distracting.

A theatre mode just encourages people to leave devices on, and check them all throughout the film/performance so they don't miss an important social media update.
