“EIGHTIES singer Rick Astley is poised to pull off one of the most unlikely comebacks in pop.”

I bought his new album. Rather impressive. His voice is as great as ever.

Not surprised, he did once say "I'm never give you up".

Truthfully, i'm not surprised, his voice still remains decent and he has a weird, cultish fanbase which are added to his regular fans.

All Saints had a pretty impressive initial come back this year as well. A top three album.

Hopefully it will continue to sell with more singles.

Peaks mean nothing. It's about sales at the end of the day. Will the album sell well? Because despite a high chart placing, All saints album has sold very poorly.

Usually when an album goes to #1, it plummets down the chart the following week.

However, in the case of Rick Astley, his album going to #1 is going to get a lot of media attention and I wouldn't be at all surprised if word of mouth spreads over the weekend and more Rick Astley fans from the late 80s/early 90s check out the album and buy it.

shows how bad the industry is these days - when 70 per cent of touring artists are over the age of 45.
