Such a shame, I loved their first few albums and was listening to their stuff again in recent weeks.

Wow. Seriously sad news. I loved Set Adrift and bought their album back then.

Rest in peace, Attrell.

so young still.
May you rest in peace.

I love "I'd die without you" which I heard the other week in Asda, co-incidentally

They certainly did some great tracks although probably only remembered for Set Adrift... which is a shame.

I'm listening to them now on You Tube, here are a few of my favourites:

More Than Likely (with Boy George) https://youtu.be/1aznqNWBn5c
Looking Through Patient Eyes https://youtu.be/RPPvA3buNLU

Sad news.

The PM Dawn album alongside Nirvana's Nevermind was the first two CDs I ever bought.

Very sad - poor guy. Pretty sure I bought their album on cassette tape at the time so it must be up in the loft. May he R.I.P.

When this was mentioned I thought of this song. Any connection?

Unless Dawn Penn was his Mum.. hence the Penn Mum Dawn, very unlikely.

Oh that's shocked me.

I loved their songs.

I heard on Craig Charles' show yesterday and couldn't believe it. I'd actually picked up my copy of 'Of the Heart, of the Soul and of the Cross' earlier in the day too.

I still have my CD singles of 'Set Adrift on Memory Bliss' and 'Looking Through Patient Eyes.' Back in the day I had vinyl singles of 'A Watcher's Point of View' 'Set Adrift' and 'Paper Doll' too.

It's really sad news.

Very sad news.

Yet more talent associated with happy memories gone. Way too young and sad that he had suffered with his health for so long.

RIP

it was a very good time musically... such a blend and fusion of sounds on the radio - all genres achieving recognition and limelight. And all genres were healthy for it. The soul; rnb; hip hop; dance scene thrived!

Rest in peace, Attrell.

I forgotten I'd die without You track was from the film Boomerang (1992) starring Eddie Murphy
