Have Portugal got a striker who can come off the bench

The Austrians have had one more attempt on goal than the Czechs yesterday at this stage I guess!”

Those stats correspond to what I have been seeing. The way things are developing Austria could steal some points from this game. Football can be a cruel unforgiving game, especially when you don't take your chances.

"He's a 1 in 4 Striker"

Since when is Nani a striker?

Portugal yet again, surprised they are not winning 10-0!

Carvalho is quality. His older brother isn't bad either.

Ronaldo has got his team mates that needs him to score

He has a manager that needs him to score

He has the whole nation that needs him to score

When you have got that pressure to score a goal then it will get to you

The great players can perform under that pressure

It seems Ronaldo cant

Hard to see which side of the fence you sit on, in terms of Ronaldo, Owen.

How did that not go off for a corner???

That really is a very good save from Rui Patricio.

I don't think any of the "star players" in (for want of better phrase) "one man teams" have really turned up so far. Ronaldo's been poor, Ibrahimovic has been poor, Alaba's done nothing, Bale's been quiet other than being allowed to score two free kicks. I guess they need more support which they're not really getting at the moment.

Will get into the Ronaldo debate in a different thread at some stage... As for this game... Come on Austria!

Where are the Portuguese strikers

England have got five of them

What this tournament is showing us is a team cannot hold out defensively across the full 90. Austria have to break out here otherwise they will concede.

Fantastic save by Almer!

He may not be good at doing anything else but his shot stopping is exemplary.

I'm sure I've heard people say that there's something fishy about him.

Incredible Ronaldo hasn't already scored a hat trick this game and I wouldn't bet against him doing so..
