Northern Ireland will probably know what they have to do to get through in third by then may not even need a result

Ah, understandable then, sorry but that won't be happening though.

Yeah true and fair enough, but the only result that will happen in that match is an Italian win, they have far too good players for the Irish, and there is no way Buffon is ending his clean sheet record in that match.

Ireland had a good and underrated team back then, this team is far inferior.

It's quite impressive really, Ireland were the worst team at Euro 2012 in a 16 team tournament and have maintained that position and been the worst team four years later at Euro 2016 in a 24 team tournament.

That's consistency.

I had Harry Kane in mine, so I know the pain!

They did manage that draw against Sweden.

I think Albania, Turkey and Ukraine all look slightly worse than Ireland.

That's a fair point; after all Turkey had an excellent record over the past year, but hadn't played any of the top sides and look what has happened to them. (I know they played England in a friendly this May, but much as I would like to do so, I cannot describe England as a top side).

NI got an easier group. Ukraine are no where near the level of Belgium, and Poland aren't that great either.

the point is you seem to say things with absolute certainty that this or that will happen... as a football fan you should know that nothing is for certain in this sport. yeah, as things stand it's unlikely that ireland will win, but can they win? yeah they can...

Albania, Russia and Turkey have all been rubbish as well, it is just that somehow England didn't beat one of them.

Really? They almost got a draw against Switzerland despite being down to 10 men early then held the hosts to 0-0 until the dying minutes.

I can think of at least 4 or 5 teams that have put in worse performances than that so far.

And that's rubbish. We got a draw against Sweden, and should've beat them. We have been awful today, but we are playing a very good side.

Fair enough, but it would be the biggest shock of this tournament by far, if they got that win.

Not sure how much Italy will care as they have now won the group first team to do so so it's zero at stake so just never know

It's Turkey or the Czech Republic for me overall.

The Czech's draw yesterday came as a result of freak circumstances.

Sweden haven't managed a shot on target in 180+ minutes of football - it is really difficult to get any worse than that.

Agree, Basically they were playing for a 0-0 and as soon as belgium scored that was there game plan out of the window and they had no plan B. It was game over as soon as Belgium scored.

Buffon will care, he will want to keep on with keeping a clean sheet in every match so far.

Would they be your worst team in the tournament then?

Or maybe Sweden are just a whole new level of crap, they have been dire in this tournament.
