I do.
I developed a soft spot for Ireland watching them as a kid at the 1994 World Cup and I've had that ever since. Plus they have a wonderful contingent of travelling fans. |

They're always dull to watch. If it's not England, then I support the teams who play the kind of football i enjoy watching. |

Nope, I will support England as I'm English but I don't see why should* I support other Home Nations and the Republic of Ireland over other European teams. They're separate national teams and I want the team with the style of play I like to win. The Netherlands have always been my second team but they're not in the tournament so I don't really have one this year. However, I was supporting the Northern Irish the other night because they were the underdogs and I was delighted when they won.
*Not that anyone has said I should, but you know what I mean. |

I don't get why they're still lauded in the English media while NI are virtually ignored. Even football fans would struggle name most of those players that played today.

Same with me, i don't give a stuff about them to be honest. England is the only team i care about. It's like supporting another club team, i couldn't do it.
If anything I want Wales, NI and Ireland to do well purely because they are underdogs... not because they are our neighbors. |

I've got a hierarchy of how much I like teams.
My own nation 1st. Other UK sides and ROI. Other teams I particularly like at a time - South Korea 2002, Chile recently, Croatia of mid to late 90s. And I also pull a bit for the underdog at times and also if the fans or media of a team aren't very gracious then that can put me off a team a bit too. At this Euros I've not really got a team yet that I want to win. I feel as neutral as I ever have. |

Brits?
Where you from OP? Shocking terminology for this question. I am English. England is first choice. However wish Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic well. My Dad is from Northern Ireland, and like me is BRITISH. He has been in England 60 years, thanks to the RAF. Yea he wants Northern Ireland to do well, England and Wales. He always supports Republic of Ireland. It is a shame that in other team sports, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Cricket and Hockey (Field and Ice), I read of one Ireland team. Yet football is still divided. I know it would mean calls for an all Ireland League, and football attracts idiots who in recent years have have caused trouble at cross border club games. But I am a dreamer still, and hope we see an all Ireland team in my life time (am 47 so time is pressing). |
