The replay shows Payet didn't even hit a rocket volley as it seemed, he just tried to place it.

What a run that was from Sissoko, sheer brute strength and pace.

Just over the 80 minute mark so into the French favourite scoring time.

Gold & Sullivan will have a job and a half trying to keep hold of him this summer.

Look at the state of Granit Xhaka shirt

He is lucky he was not playing against Portugal

As Pepe would have ripped his whole shirt off

You were saying he was shit practically before he took off his bib. Way, way more harsh on him, Giroud in the first match and Sterling than the abject performance of Martial.

Oh god, on the verge of being the goal of the tournament.
Players that have played poorly I have said that about them irrespective of their club, Martial did play poorly and was quite rightly not involved with this match.

No, your posts weren't, and he didn't have a poor game. He came on for what, 15 minutes? And he looked promising. He just happened to fail to score against Italy in 15 minutes.

And if you did bring his club career into it, then based on last season you wouldn't have been able to criticise him if you actually watched him. You'd have seen why Liverpool fans like him.

But that's taking the topic off-topic.
Why would I bring a players club career into something that I was talking about how they played in that particular match?

He was brought on to try and get a goal (as that is why you tend to bring on a sub striker is it not??) and in that particular match he didn't manage to do so; so that was what I was basing my opinion of him on that night.

For example Lukaku played very poorly in the first Belgian match, yet I can recognise that he played well in their second one against the Republic of Ireland, so if Sterling, Origi have better games then I will say so, their clubs don't come into my thinking on that.

I wonder where they will play him then, instead of who?

Swiss should've had a penalty there...

but it wasn't given and it finishes 0-0, fittingly.

Crap game really. A shame that penalty wasn't given just to give us some excitement at the end.
