I liked the huge Samsung but storage with that and a laptop would be tricky.
I liked the asus chrome book, the multiple viewing angles, android apps, no viruses, keyboard or no keyboard while staying attached.
I liked the Windows tablets, full Windows but viruses, poor screen.”
Windows 10 is far more secure than earlier Windows, and the regular updates mean you won't have huge numbers of people using machines with no security updates done for years. I've been using Windows for nearly twenty years now and have not had a virus.
Don't download stuff from dodgey websites, don't open dodgey emails and so on and you'll be fine. The same incidentally applies just as much to Apple and Android machines, they're not invulnerable.
The standard Windows security built into W10 is good, but I also have U-Block and Ghostery extensions on Chrome. They're more for annoying adverts but malicious adverts are out there so they help as well.
And as for poor screen, the 1280 by 800 display on the Linx is great. I have never once wished I had a higher resolution. And I can remember not that long ago when my main PC had a lower resolution display.
If you go into a shop that has the Linx on display go to Youtube and search for
Vimeo Landscapes Vol 2, set the quality to 1080p and watch in full screen, especially bits like the stars in the night sky. It looks great. If you then go to something like the Samsung with a higher res screen it will look better, but that is far from meaning the Linx is "poor".
The weak spot for me is the sound. At home the speakers are fine. In a noisy environment they're not that powerful.
