Pin 8 Scart
Hi,
I currently have all my AV equipment connected to a Kramer switching unit. The output from the Kramer to the TV is via phono sockets. I have therefore used a 3 phono to scart lead. The problem I have is because the output is phono, there is no voltage running to pin 8 on the scart plug. Is it possible to connect a 12V adapter to pin 8? If so, how would I go about it. Or is there a device that can activate pin 8 when I turn the TV on? Thanks in advance |

Yes, a scart lead! Just curious, why are you using phono to your TV?
Rgds, Scorp ps you will also be missing out on W/S switching. |

The Kramer switcher doesn't have a scart output - its phono or s-video only.
http://www.kramerelectronics.com/ind...em.asp?pic=127 Its ok, I think I've sussed it anyway - I can solder a 12V supply to the 8 pin - this should activate the TV to switch to the AV channel |

Then change it. Argos's switcher does full RGB for a tenner. Composite video is the second-worse option you have for video signal, only beating RF.
