It was a great team performance. The defence were solid, Joe Allen was a star again, Taylor and Vokes got into great possessions, crucial save by Hennessey...sure, Ramsay and Bale are the stand outs, but yeah, they were all brilliant last night....to a man. That spell in the second half where the put together about 20 passes with no comeback...woah! And Russia have a bit of a bigger pool of players than us!

Russia were AWFUL - the worst team of the tournament and the fact that England couldn't win against them just shows how rubbish they played.

As for Wales being a strong team, well... take Ramsey and Bale out and I'm sure the team will play some pretty terrifying football, but having a team built around those two makes the whole team look good. Just like Uruguay (or Liverpool) looked great with Suarez, but really awful without

Apart from the free kicks, Gareth has only come really alive in the last game...same with Ramsey to a degree. Yet we beat Slovakia and nearly got a point against England, although in fairness from our rather negative second half performance that was a fair result.

That's a team playing out of their skins and am proud of them. Joe Allen has been a little marvel. The teams the thing, and that's come across in spades. Sure most teams need their 'star' players, but if the rest aren't hacking it....you're stuffed. As for Russia, well you can only beat what's in front of you!

As an aside and speaking of teams who all play for each other....Good luck Northern Ireland!

Bale can play terrible, but when he scores 3 goals in 3 games... that's kind of all you need him to do

Just got back from the game and what a great atmosphere before and during the game. The Welsh Russians Scots and English mixed well. There were Scots and English there supporting Wales.
