I'd rather had seen Drinkwater there instead of one of Wilshire or Henderson. At least you'd know you'd get a good performance out of him.

Looks positive yeah Wilshere is nowhere near his best Id say its his match sharpness not his fitness, one thing I do like is I saw him hurrying up Smalling to make a pass and keep the play moving, Lallanas shot on goal came a few moments later. Id give him another 20 mins then bring on Rooney if it is still 0-0. Henderson has been great but he is much the same as Wilshere in terms of match fitness. Id replace him with Barkley.

I would gladly swap some of our dominance for a goal.

Might not be a popular opinion, but I think Lallana has been pretty good throughout.

You could say that about other tournaments.

England aren't disciplined or clinical enough to worry the big boys. All this bloated Euros have done is just paper over more cracks. Nothing will change.

Astonishing first half performance. Like a training exercise. Passing the ball around for fun, lots of scoring opportunities. Not quite sure who the team in red is.

He creates havoc but he can't finish and his final pass can be poor.

No, sub him now.

He simply hasn't been good enough.

Hendo and Wilshere are the ones hung out to dry tonight.

You're right, he's played well, just like he did in the first half against Russia and Wales, but once again he has lacked end product. It doesn't help that he tends to disappear in the 2nd half too.

I suppose after the way we finished the match against Wales, I was hoping/expecting we would be much more decisive and sharper in front of goal.

I think I need to sit back and wait for extra time before we score.

I wonder what drinkwater thought of that decision? Roy would rather take a unfit out of shape wilshire than him who had a fantastic season for Leicester.

I thought Wilshere played reasonably well - it's Henderson who I'm disappointed in. He must have gone to the Harry Kane school of taking set pieces.

Weak management to keep wilshere on. That's my only criticism of Hodgsons so far this tournament!

Agree. 'Dominating' counts for a little in tournament football.

The Slovakian player made a complete meal of that challenge from Bertrand.
