I felt like Roy told them all 'as soon as youre on the edge of the penalty box you need to pass it long enough to let all eleven Slovakian players get back"
Really awful display, you don't win games on possession alone! Grrrr

Disappointing result considering we dominated. The selection for the next game would be the same for the Wales game except for Kane and Sterling. Interesting that Clyne had a great game to see whether he will start over Walker in the next game. Walker still has the edge in my opinion though

So France in the quarters IF they manage to find the net next Monday. They might as well cancel the hotel for the day after that one now.

And even worse, Wales have a relatively easier route, possibly right through to the semis now.

Thanks for screwing around with the team that won our only game so far Hodgson you pea brain.

Oh we say that all the time, they never come to anything. Alli and Kane seem to be going down the 'good for club, poor for country' route as well now.
Exactly. Sterling is going the same way as Walcott. After a few years of promise they dwindle. I fear the same for Rashford. Alli I think might be the only exception. Wilshere won't be an international in a few years time. Think David Bentley.

Love what the French are doing with the Eiffel Tower.

Some brilliant light schemes through the tournament

So frustrating. I don't think we were terrible. Just not technically good enough to play through or round teams.

Hope we avoid Portugal.

I don't blame hodgson except for the disgrace of bringing and playing Wislhere.
How often did we test their keeper??

Surely you cannot say tonight was a good performance by us??

We were flat, slow, and didn't create anything of note bar one shot in the first half.
That to me is a very poor performance.

Having the ball is great, but knowing what to do with it is a different task altogether, we just looked clueless and out of ideas when we had it.

i don't think it matters who we play tbh, if we play like that again we won't be going through anyway

We do look like a better team when Deli Ali is playing

True, I think the make up of the squad left us with this problem, it is not balanced at all.

But we cannot rely on one one player to create everything for us, not one so young and still finding his feet so to speak at this level.

England are average at best. Easy to dominate against a team who doesn't want the ball.

Why Coleman was so negative with Wales I don't know. No need to be negative vs England.

Once England meet a top side it's game over.

We are no way as bad as that team

The Albania match still gives me nightmares
2010 truly was a low point, even the performances in 2014 were better than in South Africa, even if the points weren't.

Roy: I never thought we'd see an England team that could dominate three games.

Did he really just say that or did I mishear him.

True, Roy, England did have lots of chances - 27 of them.

How many of them were on target?

Five.

Same old guff coming out of his gob.

"eventually we will make someone pay"

Yeah Roy, we believe you.

Over dramatic as usual.

Through to the knockout stage, thats what matters.
You could say that if we didn't have past experience. England come up short in every tournament, nothing seem's to be any different this time.

Conversely we look worse when Lallana isnt on though. We need to make sure they are playing together from the rest of the tournament.

So Russia gave up the ghost playing the Welsh and we couldn't capitalise on our position. so what, we are in the last 16 and it could be better for us. We are not top of the group so not the talking point. Roy will change his tactics back for next game. Let the Welsh take the heat and glory as they do deserve it to a certain degree, and we can play in the last 16 with no chains hopefully. Our team are playing well, they just need to be unleashed from themselves. Maybe Slovakia won't get through at all so we won't have to meet them again?
