There are so many that come on here and spout so much crap. If England dont beat everyone easily, they are crap. There is a huge area between being best, and awful. We are in the upper area of the of the teams in Europe at the moment, but not the top.

I support Spurs, and I see England being similar in stature at an international level. Not the best, but are producing some good performances, with a good young side that can give anyone a game on their day.”

very much agree.

bib - and the teams of 6, 8 and 10 years ago were equally as bad even though they had some talent in the team.

Sticking to Prem League analogies it'd be like Southampton fans ranting every time they dont completely outclass and beat every mid/lower half prem league opponent.

So as a spurs fan how much do you think Roy is not only trying to emulate their mindset and youth policy but their tactics as well? Seeing one man up front, Dier as the holding mid who also drifts back between our centre halves, Alli as the midfielder who gets in the opponents box a lot and all our width coming from the full-backs seems more than just coincidental to me.

He doesn't play quite the line up that Spurs do, as we play the 4-2-3-1 set up, but Alli has had a great understanding with Kane. I think both dropped off a little the last month though. The full backs and Dier have played for England the way they do for Spurs though, so the energy levels are there in both teams.

With five Spurs players, he'd be daft not to try and get them playing like they do for us, and I think he has tried.
