Now TV - Discovery Channel
Hello,
TalkTalk in their wisdom have decided to remove the Discovery Channels from their TV service which has caused much consternation and not a little unhappiness in our household as we're big fans of Fast 'n Loud, Wheeler Dealers et al. Yes, give it a couple of years and they'll be repeated on Quest I know but that's not the point. Unfortunately, we have only fairly recently renewed our subscription to TT so will have to shell out a hefty amount in order to end the contract and move to BT - who do have Discovery and who are our only other real option (for TV at least) as we cannot get either Virgin or Sky at our address. Anyway, it's been suggested that Now TV might be an option if we bin the TV content from TalkTalk and spend the money on Sky's service each month instead. I realise that the Now TV service does not permit timeshifting but was wondering what the catch up content is like - in particular Discovery's content. Is the OD programming from Discovery current stuff that has been on the channel in the previous week or so or is it older box-set material - also, what programmes are included in the catch up service? I've had a look at the Now TV website but it's a bit vague and doesn't go into specifics so any info from a Now TV subscriber would be very gratefully received. Many thanks in advance ![]() David. |

Thanks very much - that certainly answers my question - unfortunately Fast 'n' Loud isn't one of the on-demand shows available but Brewer & China's programme is so might give it a go..
Thanks

Thanks ![]() The box can then be in a bedroom, given to a friend or just charity shop it. There is a new Now TV box about to be released so it might explain all the deals for the older boxes. |
