Need to know about some tech specs of the above set please

I understand it only does freesat although it has a uhf input on the back (no freeview)

And noticed it has a Ethernet connection, what's that for ?

Thank you

It does Freeview, not Freesat.

It has no Ethernet connection.

Ethernet is for wired internet use.

You can look at the full specs here

The manual available from the LG website (http://www.lg.com/uk/support/support...ct/lg-32LH5000) would beg to differ,

According to that it has neither ethernet nor a satellite connection.

Nice that you've posted the right model now

Why do you think it doesn't have Freeview (because it does, as any modern TV does), the manual also clearly states the Ethernet socket is for 'possible future use on Freesat'.

It does freeview, analogue, and Freesat HD, also non Freesat mode. It is also possible using a secret menu to receive several satellites using diseqc, and even motorised.

Don't ask me what the secret menu is, but I believe it is similar to the one on the Humax Foxsat.
