No,

But if you are that bothered just get the sim and add credit by topping up at paypoint, you can then log onto Giffgaff and buy any goody bag you want when you want,

Been with Giffgaff for years and so are most of the family now it's free to call each other

Just remember they get a third class service from O2 in other words O2=1st, Tesco=2nd, Giffgaff=3rd.
I've been with O2 for years since they started and a few years ago i thought i would give GG ago signal was ok but couldn't even load a web page thats how bad they where and afaik they are still the same and i'm still with O2 the worst bit is GG has no custom service so can't talk to anyone apart form on line on there forum.

If they're PAYG, then why does it say price per month?

That's just the way it's written, you can just buy a £10 goodybag and they won't charge you anymore unless you enable the recurring feature. There are no contracts whatsoever, I should know this as I was with them for around 5 years.

As others have said you can always purchase a e-top up voucher from a shop and add to your phone.
