I guess it depends. Personally speaking I was genuinely really happy to see Wales progressing in the tournament, just as I was for N Ireland and the Republic, but after that ridiculously over-the-top 'celebration' I hope Wales now gets completely annihilated.

One of the most disgusting things I have ever seen.
Belgium will ruin them anyway. The so called explanatioin was that sickertson of Swansea and blartiartifartsonn or some other named player of Cardiff are well known to the Wales players and were cheering them on. Anyway to my eyes it seemed they were cheering at Englands useless defeat to some part time goat abusers.

That takes some for an overreaction even on an institution like DS

I must say I can't think of many European nations who were supporting England in this game. I was in France and there were many Germans there who celebrated Iceland's win like Germany had won the cup.
![]() ![]() I'd say I'm disappointed with them but as I'm from Wales there might be more Euro games to enjoy. |

They are just bitter because of brexit.
After the game had finished the crowd (in a bar in Paris) started cheering wildly and there were many shouts of "Brexit! Brexit!" |

I imagine there'll be a lot of people similarly supporting Iceland against France because they're the charming underdog rather than anything to do with France.

We needed to play Russia a few more times to keep everyone sweet.

All Wales will win is the prize for the most extravagant celebration, following the defeat of their neighbours England to Iceland, as seen on this video clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOHgwMA18UI
I will firmly be supporting Belgium in the quarter final. I guarantee the Wales players' phones would have been red-hot with English team-mates and friends giving them stick in the aftermath of losing 2-1. I've followed Wales for 40 years and taken a huge amount of stick from Rnglishbfriends about how rubbish we were. I used to get postcards from tournaments etc! Finally, finally we're in a position to give it back a bit. It's just daft banter - relax! Also - the Wales team decided that they would follow Iceland at the start of the tournament as "supporters". |

People will be raging about it sadly, like the people who think Andy Murray's a horrible racist because he said he wants England to lose at football.

![]() Can Wales win the Euros? I'm not sure but it would be phenomenal if they did.

Leicester won the league lads!
They said that about Palace's chances in the cup final, they lost despite Pardew's hilariously premature victory jive. Wales wont win the Euro's. They'll go out tonight in fact.

They need to win 3 matches
Even if they are 5/1 to win each game outright, then the combined odds are 215/1 Not a Leicester by any means. ---- edit. just checked - they are not as long as 5/1 to beat Belgium. checked again. They are 30/1 on betfair to win the whole enchilada. Seems a bit short to me, but heigh-ho. fwiw the betfair odds are showing hardly any over-round, so it seems to be the right price based on the money. |

I genuinely don't think that people know what the word 'arrogant' means.... England football team and supporters are a long way from it.... Expecting and hoping to beat teams with players from smaller clubs and who are ranked well below them, and at the same time saying that we will probably play badly and scrape through, or saying, hopefully it doesmt go to penalties, as we are rubbish at penalties, is not arrogant.

The reason we bang on about 1966 isn't to rub it in, it's because we've got absolutely nothing else.

Most of Europe disliked us long before Brexit. They just don't have to pretend they like us anymore.
England are the one country that has been respected, well-liked and admired almost universally around the globe. Even Russia - a country that hates everyone - has always had an admiration for the English (not necessarily their football fans though ).

To all you doubters it's best to say nothing and be thought a fool than open your mouth and confirm it.
