Aurichie's penchant for hopeless predictions could almost be described as a talent.

Agree about Ramsey he has been superb and feel for him missing out. The ref could have let the handball go it wasn't intentional and hardly in a dangerous area.

I fancy them against Portugal for sure, who are defensively suspect and haven't won a game in 90 mins yet.
The final they're likely to be up against one up France, Germany or Italy. To beat any of those teams is a huge ask...but none of them are infallible. Can Wales do it? If they get past Portugal, I don't see why not. |

Yes they can win, ideally in a dream scenario, it would be them against Iceland in the final!

Wales are comparable to Leicester in that their players have been bit underrated. The first 11 are mainly Premier League players so they're no mugs but they have real ability as well as their team ethic. You wonder what Wenger has done to Ramsey. The Arsenal team should be built around him!! He's been phenomenal in attack and defence. But a team of Premier League players with a good team ethic should be capable of giving anyone a game.

If Wales are comparable to Leicester, who are Iceland comparable with??
It's the new way. Minimal possession, resolute defence, swift attack. Needs vardy to be 100% successful |

Cards stopped being carried over after the quarters. If Ramsey and Davies had gotten to the semi's they would have gone back to 0 yellow's.

One of many posters who are eating their own words today.
![]() ![]() ![]() I can handle it as our win was awesome in its courage fortune and tenacity. Ashley if he thinks about his game ought to be his own biggest crictic he had three chances on goal but only took one which is not that bad for a heavy legged defender at this level. His defence at times is more suspect. He gets out manoevured out out thought and thus out jumped by agile fitter forwards like Lukaku. Due to Ashleys lapse yesterday it gave Belgium the opportunity of a wonder goal and they took it. Anyway Coleman has more immediate problems with the absence of Davies and Ramsey who are very effective welsh players. |

Of course they can, Bale is as talented a player as the lesser Ronaldo, who shrugs and sulks when his teammates don't pass him the perfect through ball. Gareth Bale in contrast is the total professional and team player, happy to draw opposition defenders to him in droves, leaving space for others to exploit.
Wales 2 Portugal 0 |

Wales had 48% possession last night though (and were ahead on possession at the end of the first half).

Wales 2 Portugal 0 Wales 0 Portugal 3 is my prediction with a couple from Ron. |

I'd love it if they did (I have become a 'temporary Welsh supporter' for the duration of the tournament) but their play & tactics are basic. And even their best player, Bale, isn't firing. I can imagine when they come up against a decent team, they will get destroyed because they will not be able to resist their opposition's might.

Well yes but they spent a lot of time with safe possession in their own half and Belgium refused to do much pressing. Safe side to side passes before a hoof ball forward finally conceded possession.
To borrow from boxing - they have a punchers chance at best. They might strike lucky, but it is highly unlikely that the England hating squad will get to the finals. There is a huge gulf in class and I wouldn't bet one penny on them reaching the final. Wales 0 Portugal 3 is my prediction with a couple from Ron. |

Wales 0 Portugal 3 is my prediction with a couple from Ron. At some point you might have to come to terms with Wales not only doing well but deserving it too. |

I actually think that Wales CAN win the whole competition now . I figured that if any of the remaining teams would give them big trouble it would be Iceland - simply due to the way they play but after seeing that Iceland take TEN yellows into the game and France just have that big , soft lump Giroud on a yellow I can't see past France now . I just can't see Iceland playing with as much commitment and so being rather inafective .
