Italy were awful and I really hope that it's because they had nothing to play for and that it's not how they are going to play against Spain
Normally, Italy start poorly and work their way up. In both this tournament and the world cup, they've started well and then got steadily worse during the group.

People keep talking about it being virtually the Italy reserve team but that's ignoring just how positively the Irish played. They came charging out of the gate and were on the front foot throughout. I've no doubt whatsoever they would have had a right go at the Italian first XI and caused them all sorts of problems.

I'd still think Italy may be able to beat Spain though.
Ok, ok, but let's be realistic. Rep of Ireland aren't a good team - neither individually nor collectively and any top tier team playing poorly should still be beating them. Plus, Italy normally prefer teams to attack them and they like playing second fiddle. That's the only thing that gives me (very slim) hope against Spain

Yes... at least this time they made it out of the group though... I don't have very high hopes for Monday

Whatever about Henry, Irish fans would never boo the French anthem and certainly not the anthem of the host nation. Not entirely sure the players will see it as a grudge match either, virtually none of the current Irish squad were in Paris that night bar Given, O'Shea and Keane and it's unlikely those three will even face the French on Sunday.
No but they might attempt to "sing" it.
