Wrist Candy / Watches
Hi all, I'm new here but was hoping to get some feedback about what Watches people are wearing and teaming up with their outfits, hope that's ok
![]() I've searched all over and I can't seem to find any forums talking about fashion watches so hence why i've decided to join DS and put out this thread. Look forward to your comments PS I work in watches so if you have any questions for me then I'd be happy to answer them ![]() Best OWL |

I have an apple watch and swap out the different colour straps (on ebay/amzon they are only a few quid) to match my mood and or glasses.

also did you go for the 38mm or 42mm size ? I had a look at both recently and the 42mm made it more useable at least to me Many thanks |

As a clumsy so and so I wear a black stealth-looking analogue display G-Shock for day to day and a cheaper digital G-Shock for work which can take the bumps and scrapes in its stride. I have an old rose and steel Seiko automatic for dress wear. Thinking about treating myself to a Seiko Astron watch but the model I want to see and try in the flesh is not available in this country.

Hi BB do you not see watches as something to dress up with or do you just not see watches as an evening item to wear out ? they can be quite stunning and a great talking point with new people

This is the Astron model I am interested in but I need to see it in the flesh and try it on (will probably need some links expertly removed to fit) but not available in any UK bricks and mortar store.

I love Swatch and if money were no object I'd have a different one for each day of the week.
The one I'm wearing now is just a plain white swatch with a mirror for its face. Very handy for when you're out and about or if you need to signal for help when a search helicopter passes overhead! It's a "Lady Spy" model. |

Thanks for your comment, I had lots of Swatches too growing up, seems they never really go out of fashion and so many styles, I like what you say about the mirrored dial i think this feature looks great on ladies watches, how do you find the srap with discolouration ? does it get marked being white ?
Thansk OWLGB The upside to a basic Swatch is you can chop and change the straps, buckles and tangs so I will do that in the future. |

I have a dozen watches. My everyday Rotary one was a gift to me years ago.
I like unusual watches and have in my collection a few skeleton ones, my favourite being a bridge watch. I also have some which don't have hands but have little discs that go round to display the time. Others I have are like car dials with LEDs which light up to tell the time. These are all cheap Chinese watches but they all keep perfect time, even the mechanical ones. |

I much prefer a bracelet if I am going to wear anything on my wrist. To me , watches are for catching trains not socialising

Thanks for sharing do you have any pics of your Bridge watch ? great to hear you love your watches, I think watch collecting should just be about Rolex and Omega but more like shoes and handbags and matching them to your outfits it's amazing how a watch can complete the look or be a talking point when out.
http://secretclic.com/wp-content/upl...-Antique-5.jpg Here's another cheap watch I have. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Paidu...e-9f5c9556cac1 Another similar to one of mine, but mine has red and blue LED. http://gloimg.gearbest.com/gb/2015/2...8681698384.jpg |
