England against Portugal would have been a great match

But we are facing a team whose value is cheaper compared to other teams, but you can find a few bargains playing for them

Thats why Mums goes to Iceland

There can be no excuses for not beating Iceland when you compare the two squads and starting 11. To be fair Iceland probably have better coaches though

Shame that football is not played on paper though isn't it?

Do you think losing to Iceland would be acceptable?

I think it will depend on what happens in the match, if we are the dominant side, create plenty of chances, and Iceland get one chance, score it and we go out, then that would of course be a sucker punch, but at least there would be something to say, we were the better team.
So getting beat like that would be more acceptable (if there is such a thing), then if say we play like we did v Slovakia, and end up going out.

I know of no-one who thinks it'll be an easy game.

Given the constant negativity on here and elsewhere, England could be playing the Iceland Ladies' U14s Paraplegic Team and there'd still be people saying we wouldn't win.

Going out to Iceland would be 100% unacceptable whichever way we look at it.

I haven't jumped on roys back but if we do lose the most honorable thing he could do would be to hand his resignation in.

I've every confifence in us getting to the quarters though, not so confident there after

As England have shown absolutely no ability to break down even the leakiest of defences, such as Russia, I fail to see how facing an unbeaten Icelandic team is easy. They drew with Portugal and beat the Dutch twice in qualifying. Will be tense and tough.

What England needs to do score the early goal then Iceland would have to attack more

Whether we are capable of scoring early is another thing

That would depends on Roy's tactics and subs.

I think we will be fine against Iceland but I wouldn't be nearly as confident if we go up against IKEA , Tesco or B&Q

For what? People place far too much emphasis on the manager.

It'd be like blaming the conductor for the orchestra being shite. Sure, he plays a role, but they all know what they're doing without the man with the pointy stick telling them how to play.

If we don't beat Iceland, I blame the players more than Roy. Heck, even if you do insist on blaming Roy, we qualified and we got out of the group stages- if we go out now, it's just the usual trajectory for England isn't it? It doesn't matter if we have the best manager money can buy, it's still mostly down to the players and that's been proven time and time again.

Personally though, this is a good match up for me because I've been following the Iceland matches and have really rooted for them, their pluckiness has been great. I don't even care so much if they knock England out. I'll be following their matches and hoping for a massive upset! Not like I think they have a cat in hells chance of pulling it off though

We shall see, England have to be the worst team from the British Isles at the Euros. That is some indictment of the Premier League era and all its money.

Well we beat Wales...

I think we would beat NI too.

Certainly don't think we are the ability and squad wise. - the issue is sometimes how we set up and what the motivation is I feel.
