England could really regret not winning the group
The other side of the draw is so much easier than the side England have ended up in. Almost certainly England get France at home if they make the quarters, then if by some miracle they get through that then they would likely play Germany or Spain in the semis.
If England had won the group they would likely have played the inconsistent Belgium in the quarters, and then probably Croatia or Portugal in the semis. Cheers Woy for thinking second place is good enough |

England possibly have Iceland and the Republic of Ireland in their way in order to get the semi's.
Not that bad, if that turns out to be the case. I think Ireland stand a very good chance of knocking out France, who have been far from convincing with the home pressure on them. Ireland did them in 90 mins in the Stade de France only later to be saved Henry's handball. |

Probably why the FA weren't too happy..
Mind you be no pressure on us against France which might help if that is the last 8 tie. Belgium and Croatia would give us a tough game too and probably beat us if our performance wasn't good.. |

Personally, I don't think it is much easier, at least not initially.
Sides like Croatia and even Hungary look really dangerous and at times have looked better than the bigger sides. France haven't exactly lit the tournament up, Spain yet to be tested by playing one of the bigger sides and lost to Croatia. Overall, it probably is the harder side of the draw, but I just don't think it's as big a difference as some people think. |

I just think it's sad that some people still refer to a 68 year old man with a minor speech impediment as 'Woy'.

I don't know why England fans are so afraid of playing France. They look quite beatable, especially against a good attacking side who can get at them. I don't think there's much of a gulf between them and England.

It is like they are desperate to beat us Thats why i think France would win because they know they have to play their best |
