That display from Farron on BBC this morning was despicable. Emily Maitliss at one stage actually had to ask him if he really called voters of Brexit ignorant!

But, Hilda, you are a diamond. One of the best. Blooming annoying sometimes, but one of the best nonetheless. Your kind words are appreciated.
He was equally despicable on LBC this evening, bordering on vicious.

I loved that

I managed to 8.30am then crashed. I lurked the forums all night/morning but didn't post.
I did worry at one point- when commentary from ITV+1 re-commenced in the morning- that maybe, at some point, the poster was playing along; but it was very entertaining in the early hours of the morning as the poster frantically tried to keep up with the results as they unfolded on a +1 timeshift channel.

Congratulations? To me this isn't a game. I am very concerned about what happens next. As an Irish immigrant who has spent almost all of my adult life here, I am very worried about my future. After this campaign, for the first time since I came here, I don't feel very welcome anymore.
You're worrying about nothing. As someone who, among other things, spent some 40 years in the construction industry, I met and worked and socialised with dozens of Irish lads and got on well with them. The best Irish jokes will still be told by the Irish living in the UK.

I think it's caused by having a skull cavity with just one cell wizzing around.

I have a feeling they was "playing along". But it was very amusing. Every post made me

Hilda

I am not going to pretend that you haven't driven me bonkers at times.

However I cannot but acknowledge the grace inherent in starting this thread.

Peace

Not my desired outcome at all for a myriad of reasons and concerns but a wins a win in politics and the democratic process has been used to determine a new path and future for the UK

So congratulations your years of campaigning has paid off and I suspect the corks will be popping! 😁

In the unlikely event any of you are worried about me don't I have time to indulge too much distress and fretting over what may now happen and what the mixed bag of blessings will be I will be too busy having fun and bedroom pleasure with my new toyboy

😘😘😘😘 Best Wishes Queen Hilda

PS I did try to tell people like Wizzywick that it was too early to get so defeatist!

Enjoy darlings☺

PS again has anyone had a forum meltdown?
Hello Hilda, very sorry I missed this earlier. A warm and wonderful post. The BIB - you go for whatever floats your boat. Much better form of meltdown, methinks.

Thanks all of you and yes MargMck it's a delightful form of coping I just keep saying how upset and worried I am over a Brexit world and they rush in to affectionately comfort me.... So I say it quite a lot

I don't know, I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen of him and heard of him. He has the brain of a rocking horse. I think I read that he went into an eye-popping rage when he found the vote was to leave. Google is your friend, I'm preparing to bathe my once beautiful body......don't get excited now.

Sorry, I read the first few paragraphs, got bored and moved on towards the end which served to explain why I got bored.

A rare venture onto the politics forum for me these days and I hesitate to do it but given some of the inflammatory and ultra divisive rows going on the forum today in certain threads, at a level I thought and hoped would have reduced by now -I felt it was an apt moment to bump this now as a kind of reminder of the spirit of this thread as a little prompt for inspiration

Just even a dash or small amount of the spirit of interaction on most of this thread would be welcome.

I've been horrified by some of the comments I've been reading from some on both sides -certainly can't see my appetite and zest for posting and regularly visiting this neck of the woods returning anytime soon.

So friends and foes alike please try and find a way to rub along together better within the confines of robust debate. Clashes are fine but there's real moral and civility red lines being crossed on here with worrying daily regularity -and if it keeps putting people of coming on here and posting then you may well find that the politics forum becomes surplus to requirements in any future review by the powers that be.

There's much more to all of us humans and our lives than brexit or Bremain

Best Wishes and Hilda style affection ☺👍😘

If you can't stand the heat......

This is the most disastrous situation the country seen in my lifetime. It is never, ever going to be sweetness and light.

The country is split down the middle, and won't repair for generations, if ever.

Nice to see you posting on here again, Hilda. I miss you and wonder how your Polish waiters are doing. Or is it Italian, I've lost track.

All Best wishes to you, too.

I must admit this is my attitude to forums, too.

But then I've always liked a good old barney.

It's going to be difficult with that attitude. Me? I'm singing along with Brian Cohen.

I knew you wouldn't stay away forever but would return to haunt me; jolly nice of you to come back in good spirit, you can now help us put some of the Remants right.

Sadly my cork popped after my operation.

Forum meltdown.......several I'm afraid, particularly those who lied about leaving the country idf Brexit won.....none among the Brexiters.
